About Us

WASSD or the Whalley Avenue Special Service District in New Haven, CT was founded in 1983. The Whalley Avenue Special Service District starts at Whalley and Howe Street and continues to Whalley and Pendleton Street. Special Service entities are independent

, special-purpose governmental units that exist separately from local municipal and special service authorities. They are formed to supplement services that may or may not be delivered by local governments.
